Ok ladies. I can find a heartbeat on BOTH sides of my stomach- sort of to the right and left of below my belly button. So obviously I am finding my own heartbeat. How do you differentiate???

Baby's heartbeat will be a lot faster!

Any tips on finding it? Is it normal to hear yours in your stomach as well?

Sorry, I feel so stupid to even ask these questions but I'm getting frustrated.

Yes, it's normal to hear yours in your stomach. I'm no expert - I just got my doppler today.. but there are loads of helpful videos on youtube.

From what I've gathered, keep the doppler angled and low (like just above your hairline) and push somewhat hard. Keep moving in circles until you find something.

Keep in mind that you and I are still early - many people find the HB at our stage, but many don't! So just be patient! :)

Babys heartbeat will be much faster, my little ones is usually around 160-170. I found mine right under my pubic bone directly in the middle but now its more on the right side, persistance is key, just gets lots of gel and move the probe in small, SLOW circles.

Thanks ladies! I will try again tomorrow :)

Good luck. As soon as you hear it you'll know the difference. The whooshing sound you might get is the placenta, baby's hb will sound like a train. Just start low as someone else said, right along the hairline and just move slowly. If you don't find it, don't panic, just try again in a few days, it's still quite early, but you will find it!! Let us know how you get on!!x

I found mine this evening (or at least what I think is it!):

Was around the 156 mark.. although I paid less attention to the digital readout than to what I was hearing, since I've read it can be iffy this early.

That is definintely baby! Congrats!
