How many of you guys have a doppler? One that really works lol? I got a cheap thing from babies r us but it isn't a doppler and all i can hear is gas haha...did you buy one or rent one? And where did you buy/rent it from? I've heard of babybeat.com but is there anywhere else? thanks!

Try ebay... I know a lot of women have gotten theirs there.

:):cloud9:

I bought my Hi bebe one from Amazon and I have no complaints.

Women are being advised to to use those ones off Ebay as far as I know. They may cause some harm. You can rent them off ebay for £10 a month I think :)

Angel sounds is excellent, got it from amazon and never looked back :)

hiya i got the angel sounds one and im 16 weeks too - also quite overweight and i could hear the heart beat so its pretty good. bought it off ebay from retail.com or something like that. only about £20.the babybeats one ive seen another post on here saying their is apparently a report out advising mums to be against using them as they dont pass safety standards!xx

The angel sounds one looks alot like the one I got although mine doesn't even say it's a doppler or uses doppler technology, but are you sure it's the baby's hb? cuz with mine i can sometimes pick up my own hb.

I have a great doppler, its from anawiz.com, it was slightly expensive but worth the money

yep its deffinately the babys heartbeat - sounds exactly like when the midwife used her own doppler.and my heartbeat isnt that far down my stomach!lol :) i dont mine actually says the word doppler but the box says its a fetal heart monitor and it honestly is very good for the price!xxx

I got the babybeets one off ebay think they are only £20 better than renting it. I found it great I could hear heart beat find and also heard movement as well it was like a swishing sound so funny. i dont use it now as I feel him move all the time but it was very reasuring when i couldnt feel him. But I think they was something in paper saying for women not to use them as it could cause harm not sure how true it is.

I really wanted to get one but was in two minds whether or not to as i thought i would panic if i can't hear the heart beat, my midwife advised not to get one. She said the one she uses was around 300 pound so thats why it was so clear and easy to hear/use.

I never got one, but my friend got hers off ebay, I still would love one but Im not sure that its worth it now junior is kicking pretty much every day.

xxx
