Do you still wind them? :dohh:

What exactly do you do? Just get them out of the cot and feed them trying not to wake them? Can they turn it down if they dont want it or will they automatically take it because their asleep?

Pick her up, trying not to disturb her sleep and feed her as usual. She'll only take as much as she needs/wants. (Some nights Hannah took the entire bottle, other nights only an ounce or two). Wind them as usual (we sat Hannah up and winded her and usually she didn't waken or if she did she went back to sleep during this part). For some babies it works really well, for others I've heard it doesn't work at all  It worked okay for us

Thanks hun.

I dont know whether to try it, because sometimes she can be a nightmare with her bottles and when we offer one, even if she doesnt want it she'll take it, then throw it up everywhere 10 mins later!

I tried this once with Aisling with EBM and the poor thing started choking, vomited and was then totally awake :( I've been too scared to try it again with the boob, it took me ages to get her back off to sleep again that time!

It used to work so well for me and ava! i think its diffrent for every one really

i tried it once with lo it only bought me an extra hour on top of his usual waking time, so i didnt bother again :)
worth a try to see if it work for you though, works well for some, i just figured thathe would sleep for longer when he was ready , and he did gradually slept for longer each week until eventually was sleeping through.

I tried this the other night and thought i was doing really well as he took 3oz, brought up wind put him in his cot and next thing i know his eyes were wide open grrr hehe and he still woke up in night at same time for next feed!

I think its worth trying as you never know! Ill probably try again in future!

It took a few attempts for dream feeding to work for us! Ellis started sleeping from 7pm until 1am so we tried it at 10pm to see if it would give us nother few hours but he still woke at 1am so got another feed in :dohh: We left it a few weeks and once he started sleeping till 3am we tried it again. It took a few nights to work but for the last 4 it's sone the trick, he is now waking at 6.30am:happydance:

We don't need to wind him, as soon as we lift him up he burps, always been good with his wind.

He is still getting me up every 2 though. He started rolling over last week and is so active in his sleep he wimpers when he gets an arm or leg stuck or has rolled awkwardly on his front:dohh:
