Dreaming of twins??

ok so I had a dream the other night...that I was having my first ultrasound, and there were 2 dark circles, with a white dot in each circle. (does this make sense)....at first I was like..."it might be a boy, or a girl"...or ???
Now twins run on my husbands side VERY strongly, but I don't think they run on my side. So I don't think it's possible, unless I released 2 eggs while ovulating...which is unlikely!! I have to say though - dreams I have had in the past usually DO happen (sounds weird I know!!) When I was 4 - 5 weeks pregnant with my son (had NO idea at the time)...I was injured by a wave in the ocean and broke a rib(LONG story) and that night I had a dream that I took a little shrimp out of my belly held it up to my ear, and proceeded to ask "it" if it was still alive...I could hear the heartbeat, and feel it, and I said "ok good"...and put it back in my belly. A week later I found out I was pregnant!
At this point though I think it's just a dream and ONLY that! lol! After all, I'm not having crazy pregnancy symptoms...I would think if someone were pregnant with multiples they would have MORE symptoms. Right now I just have alot of pulling and tugging in my belly and ligaments, and heartburn.

you never know! I never had a dream of having a BFP until this cycle... all of a sudden BFPs were popping up everywhere and it was so realistic. If they run that strongly on his side, its very possible for you!

I probably won't go for an ultrasound for another couple weeks or so, but will update when I know! My MIL thinks it could be twins!! lol! Who really knows! I'm not holding my breath for it though.I just thought it was weird to dream that! lol

I had a few dreams of multiples so far and my sister had twins and my great grandma had twins so slightly nervous lol i got my first scan this saturday and i swear if they say twins maybe things will make more sense cause I've had crazy symptoms and I've lost 10 lbs from being sick and my back and lower stomach have been hurting for over a week from legiment pain don't remember it this bad with my daughter

I dreamt I was having twin girls one night then closer to my scan about two nights before it changed to me dreaming about my scan and the tech finding triplets. I even commented on both dreams in a thread here before the scan!

Sure enough there was more than one, I'm having twins and somehow I just kinda knew. At the scan, although I was surprised, I was more surprised that I was right! and I even said something to the extent of "OMg I knew it can you please make sure there isn't 3 because I dreamt I was having triplets!!"
Now I just gotta wait to see if my first dream is right and see if they are both girls

Like you I have also had those sorts of dreams in the past that come true a while later, its like your sub concious trying to break the news to you before you get confirmation, its really weird how that happens! Good luck!

I didn't have any dreams about twins at all, it was quite a shock when we went in for our scan

I havent got my BFP yet but I dreamt about twins twice! Everytime it is a girl and a boy. Hopefully it is just a dream because I am not ready for twins. When I was pregnant with my daughter I dreamt of a girl, and sure enough I had a girl. Same with my son... so this makes me nervous. My father is a twin and my maternal grandfather is also a twin.

Glad im not the only one lol i had three dreams abt it before bfp and at first scan saw three dark spots Dr said he can't say if they will be babies or not..second time saw one for sure sac and two other spots dr said we will know tomortow at scan...as i was only 4 w 1 d last time..and since sonos I have had twin and trips dreams...we shall see tomorrow though..I just want healthy doesn't matter how many lol good luck to you

I've had two twin dreams so far!! I'm scared lol. Twins don't run in my family or dh family. In my first dream one was a boy and the other was a girl. In my 2nd dream I didn't know their genders yet, I was still pregnant. Ok the weird thing was I was only pregnant with one baby but my 10 yr old daughter was pregnant with a baby ( yeah disturbing!) and my dd wanted me to take care of her baby... And I kept thinking "oh my gosh it would be like having twins" I was freaked out in my dream lol.

yes the twin thing scares me! lol! Last time I had a dream about babies....I was unknowingly already pregnant with my son! That was 3 yrs ago....needless to say people take my dreams serious...in my dream I was having an ultrasound, and there were 2 sacs, with little white dots in each(the babies)....So who knows...I probably won't find out for a couple weeks yet! lol!

my sister had a dream about me having twins (before I even told her i finally got my BFP!). i showed my husband the text she sent and it was just weird because i was told i had 7 follicles large enough to fertilize, but 3 that were the size they really want them to be (thanks follistim). my beta tests came out pretty high (435 at 15 dpo, almost 1000 at 17dpo) and the nurse said there was a good chance of multiples. i couldn't help but call them "the babies" but the ultrasound only showed one. can't say i'm disappointed as it's taken so much to get this far, but it was almost a little bit of a letdown when i really felt there were two!
