^ ooo I like that one.

We just chuck it in the conservatory during the day and leave the doors open out there!

I just dry things on the clothes rack, they always dry overnight

We have a dryer but still dry slot of clothes indoors if the rads are on then it makes sense to use them. We dry outside too, even at this time of year! 2 loads of washing dried in under an hour today in the wind and it smells so fresh!

We have a dehumidifier running when we dry indoors. Just general living creates alot of moisture in the air, add cooking, showering and drying indoors it's a recipe for condesation and mould. it costs Pennies to run and really makes a difference and helps dry the washing quicker. Alot of people complain about mould when 9/10 It poor ventilation and lifestyle that causes it.

we have vents in the walls in all the rooms in our house, I didnt notice the difference till we moved here. No mould!

We dry ours in our bedroom as it's quite big. We also have a washer dryer but the dryer does my head in

Yeah, we have a washer dryer too but it annoys me as well. It only works if there is hardly anything in it lol.

Hmm maybe I'll start using the tumble dryer more often. Does anyone find it all needs ironing when done in there?

I find in the washer dryer, if I dry things in there. If it's not over filled, and we take the things out as soon as the dry is finished, shake them out, then they aren't creased. If there is too much in there and/or it's left too long after the cycle finishes, the stuff will be horribly creased lol. SOme things are easier to rewash in those circumstances

Is it bad for you to have damp washing in your bedrooms? I was thinking about moving our airers back upstairs so there not constantly up in the living room. Ds mainly sleeps with us anyway so thinking about putting them in his room.

Not if it's ventilated properly :flower:

I agree, we don't have a proper dehumidifier but I have been getting the gel ones like these https://www.amazon.co.uk/151-INTERI...IER-REMOVER/dp/B000X1ERW8/ref=pd_sim_sbs_kh_3 and they make a big difference :)

We used to dry our washing inside on a clothes horse but managed to create mold..even tho i always had a window open in there. We have moved now and dont wont to devlope mold so it goes in dryer or outside

Our washer dryer is the same. It doesn't really dry anything except bedding and towels and that takes hours. We're getting a tumble dryer soon (probably after xmas now)

What is everyone doing to dry thier clothes while its impossible to dry them outside?

I put all my clothes on hangers and hang them above the radiators, windows ajar and my clothes dry pretty fast  plus at night I'm not stopping the heat from the rads heating up my rooms!

Remember to open your windows during the day, or else you'll end up with mould and condensation!! Then by night time when you close your windows your clothes are only slightly damp and won't cause much condensation :winkwink:

I hang my clothes out all year round. Even in the winter, the only time i dont is when its pissing it down obviously, and when the clothes will just freeze solid on the line. If you hang it out it dries much quicker in the house.

I have a drying rack that can plug in to the wall and heat up if needs be, it's great! Takes up a lot of space though. If I could I'd get one of those wooden ones that hang from the ceiling but it wouldn't work with the ceiling material in this flat or so my dad says.

I don't like tumble dryers I hate the feel of the clothes on my skin after theyve been tumbled lol im weird!

I have quite a large flat I put washing over mu banisters, over the radiators, over the tops of doors, on the clothes airer. I havent run out of space yet lol. X

I have a massive drying rack which holds 5 loads and I put that up in 1 of the spare bedrooms. I dry nappies in the airing cupboard and have a smaller airer which I put up in the other spare room if I need it (I do 2 loads of laundry a day :dohh:).

I use a clothes horse for clothes, I only use the tumble dryer for bedding, towels and socks! When I have clothes drying in the house I always have the de-humidifier on so the walls don't get damp as ours are really prone to this. Plus the sucks all the moisture out of the clothes and makes them dry loads quicker !

i use clothes horse. just put it infront of the radiator in the porch - no idea why there is a radiator there!!
most stuff dries within 24 hours max.

my sister uses a clothes horse & if its not dry by the time she needs to hang the next load out she finishes it in the drier for 15-20 mins. she usually does 1 load a day. x

^ me too, we got rid of ours as it had a stupid tube that needed to go out window and had no where to put it in new house lol.

My house is like chinese laundry today as washed kids bedding. Its ok in the summer as it drys so fast.
