DTD 3 Days before Ovulation

Hi Ladies,

Wondering if anyone can share experiences/opinions please! My bf an I are not actively trying, we're planning on ttc #1 Jan/Feb 2019, but it certainly wouldn't be a worry if it happened sooner. I usually O around CD17-CD19 but have been taking supplements this month which I think have brought O closer. I got an EXTREME pos opk yesterday CD15 and have had a slight temp dip this morning which makes me think today (Monday) is O day.

My question is, because we weren't expecting me to O until CD17-CD19 we DTD on Friday night (CD13) which looks like it will have been 3 days before O. Has anyone conceived when DTD 3-4 days before O?

I'll continue to temp to make sure today is O day but have been having usual O pains and a lighter OPK today (though I think it would still be classed as +)

I am not good with charting and all that but I did take a test this month and ovulated 6 days earlier than expected (after a chemical), we had sex on ovulation day only and I conceived that same night.
Just missed my period, but I can't say all worked out and it will stick around yet.

So sorry to hear about your chemical Marumi Congrats on your bfp this time though! Fingers crossed this one sticks! Did you only dtd on ovulation day?

3 days before O is definitely possible! Good luck!

Yes it can happen bc sperm can live up to 3-5 days. So they may have been sitting there waiting. You're fertile for 4 days and your ovulation day is day 5. So it would add up.

Thanks both! That's definitely reassuring. It would be a couple of months earlier than planned but we would both be so happy. FF hasn't confirmed O yet but the way my temps and opks are I'm putting myself as 2dpo. I had the weirdest pulling/twinging sensation yesterday on my left side in the evening, came in waves and lasted a couple of hours (and made me stop in my tracks/gasp each time!). I know it's way too early to be anything but I've never felt anything like it before! Very odd

That could've been implantation.
