Due Date Calculations

I have just read an interesting article that states according to statistics only 5% of women actually give birth on the due date given to them.
Most women give birth later,especially if it is their firstborn.
It also shows that 10% of women give birth after 42 weeks!
80% of babies are born within 10 days before or after the actual due date. 8%-10% give premature birth between 20th and 36th week.
If your firstborn was born prematuraly,the chances are 25% that your next baby will also be premature. Interesting stuff!

I probably wont be on my due date.. we weren't sure about my last cycle (I was irregular) so we made it later.. my doc told me better later than sooner that way if I am overdue we wont induce too early.
And it's true.. most women (or so I've heard) dont actually give birth on their due date.

DH says I better go at least 10 days early with this one... he doesn't want a Gemini baby...

I'm due on the 5th August 2008 but if it's anything like me or my husband then it won't be on time. If it is like me it'll be early and if it is like my husband it will be later lol

Why doesnt your husband want a Gemini baby? What are Gemini babies known for?
According to my due date calculations,I am supposed to give birth to a Cancer baby...if I'm early it will be a Gemini....

I couldn't care less what the baby's sign is.
