Hello ladies - this may sound silly - BUT..

I remember reading about not touching cat litter due to some - something - that can cause miscarriage - something about if you already have a cat and have changed litter, you're probably ok, but not to get a cat or change litter while pregnant.

Anyhow - my daughter has a hamster - has had for about - oh a month and a half or so - and of course I'm the only one to clean it's cage.

it makes me a bit nervous - should I be concerned at all????

HELP!!

Thank you!

Tina

No worries. Just wash hands after like normal. I have cats, dogs, guinea pigs, fish...constantly cleaning cages and litter through all my pregnancies, and my doctor has no concerns.

Thank you both. I talked to my husband and he was less than thrilled with taking on the responsibility :haha:

I always use disposable latex gloves when cleaning out animals anyway whether i'm pregnant or not,I just don't like the idea of my hands touching wee stained bedding!! x

I agree with sueh81, I always use latex gloves when cleaning the pets!
