Ear infections?

So I know when I asked about piercing I was told the possibility of infection and resulting complications was the reason it was a nono, but what about piercings I already have getting infected, is that the same kind of serious situation?
My cartiledge piercing (that I had months before falling pregnant) gets mildly infected from time to time. Should I just take it out and possibly let it close over? Or should it be okay because it clears up within a few hours/tops a day when i clean it and has been doing it throughout the pregnancy without any complications =P

I think you should be fine. This happens to my ears all the time and I am not the slightest bit worried. I'm not saying that since I'm not worried, that you shouldn't be either, but I truly don't think it is much to worry about. As long as you aren't getting any new piercings you should be fine

this should be fine, just make sure you clean it really well and if it gets super infected i would take it out. i got my industial pierced either right before or right after i got pregnant, not sure of exact date. it never healed right and got really infected even tho i was cleaning it all the time and had to take it out.
