Hi I am not sure if am posting this in the right forum, my first post so please bare with me.

I found out that I was pregnant after taking a clear blue digital with conception indicator. The test said pregnant 1 - 2 weeks.:happydance: I thought that it was odd as my period was at least a month before I took the test but was very happy. Basically I went to the doctor who said I was 5 weeks pregnant. I went home that evening and had some heavy bleeding. I went to a&e who did a pregnancy test and it came back as negative. they also did blood tests and confirmed I wasn't pregnant and said that my HCG levels from the blood test were too low for me to have ever been pregnant!!!.
They said that I had been very unlucky. Was this a chemical pregnancy/ very early miscarriage or could this be a problem with the original pregnancy test that I took that claims to be over 99.9% accurate or is there ANYTHING else that could have caused this.

:hugs2: if your pregnancy was confirmed by a doctor then its pretty safe to say that you were pregnant, and it sounds like a chemical pregnancy to me:sad1: im really sorry for your loss, stay strong and stay encouraged :hugs:

I'm so sorry for your loss. *Offering you gentle hugs*

I'm sorry. It sounds like it may be a chemical pregnancy. I just had one a few weeks ago. I was a day late, had symptoms so I took a test and got a got a faint positive . The next day another positive. Then after that all negatives including a negative blood test at the doctors. I know exactly how you feel...its like a cruel joke being played on you to see those BFP's, get excited, and then they are gone like it never happened. Im so sorry you had to go through that.

Could have been a chemical, your doctor did confirm you were pregnant beforehand.

Hi I didn't get it confirmed at the doctors surgery, he just asked if I had taken a clearblue test so I said yes and got given leaflets about pregnancy he didn't do a pregnancy test while I was there. :nope:

I have heard that blue dye tests are know for evaps. Maybe this is what happened instead of a early miscarriage. Its hard to know for sure since your gettin conflicting answers from the doctor. What makes me think you were pregnant is that your AF was late and you had a BFP. Has your cycles been abnormal before?

No my cycles have always been 33 days since coming off birth control a few years ago. And it was a digital test not a dye/strip test. I also took a couple of cheap internet test strips that had a faint positive aswell as the positive digital test
Thanks

The clear blue digital has really mixed reviews (if you google it) with a lot of people saying they recieved positives only to be told by the doctor they weren't pregnant! So apparently not the best test on the market.

To me it sounds like a chemical, i think the doctors were being a bit dramatic by saying your levels were to low to ever have been pregnant though. I think you were. *hugs*
