Early scan and 2 yolks x

So I went for an early scan yesterday due to previous ectopic and was told I was a little over 5 weeks and she could see the yolk sac and nothing much else which is to be expected really. After staring at the screen for a while and terrifying me in the process lol she confirmed she could actually see 2 yolk sacs within the one gestational sac.

So my question is to anyone that has had a simarlar experience. Did everything pan out and you went on to have twins or any other situation occur. Vanishing etc.

I have a rescan booked for Friday so no doubt be the longest week in history lol xx

Yep me!
I went for a scan at 5+6 and seen 2 yolk sacs in one gest sac. One was smaller than the other.
I went back at 7 weeks and there was just one baby had grown.

Apparently it’s a lot more common than you realise
