early symptoms from stimming

hi girls im only on day 2 of gonal f and this morning when i woke up i felt a bit sick until i had a drink and my stomach feels really tight, ive just been upstairs hoovering and had to stop because i got really hot, could it be from the stimms already or do you think its just a coincidence, also how much extra water did you drink i read somewhere to have 2ltrs (4 pints) but surely thats not enough because they say everyone should drink 6-7 pints a day normally x

Hi hon, I'm no expert as only day 6 but I've also been having hot flushes, but i thought it was down to the buserelin as mine started before stimming! Also been feeling sick the last couple of days so could be all related.

I'm really bad with drinking, I've been forcing 2 extra bottles of water a day (the 75cl ones), not sure if this is enough/too much/recommended etc!

I didnt have any side effects only bloating and felt like my ovaries were raving.. lol
I did drink about 2litres of water all the way through treatment and before..This just is general advise but i defo think water helps with any symptons..and your suppose to drink around 2 litres a day so i would drink and drink..

Also extra protein, so i had pint of semi skimmed milk in morning and ate chicken quite alot as this is suppose to help with egg quality..

thanks beauty thats exactly what im doing ive got 2 ltr bottles of water that im making sure ive drank by the end of the day plus juice and ive been having a pint of milk a day for a few weeks now and im eating chicken nearly every day, its good to know im doing the right things x

Hey Raf

How you feeling now?

I got the hot flushes etc. from missing my DR drug with my stimms - they also made me feel queasy and when i was stimming i didn't gain any weight as they put me off my food.

I was drinking 3ltr of water a day to avoid OHSS and still got it mildly, its really important to keep up the fluid intake after EC as a lot don't and that's when you can get poorly.

Not long to go now, hope that those follies are getting nice and juicy!!x

thanks for asking hun im feeling much better throughout the day now im drinking pints of water all day long, im still finding the nights uncomfortable waking up a lot and getting dizzy but its not too bad and im taking lots of drinks up to bed with me for in the night, my stomach is getting really big though and someone asked if i was pregnant the other day ive not got much of an appetite at the moment either so it must all be bloating, even so im still enjoying the proccess and really excited about it all x

Ah thanks, I'm good & thoroughly sick today my symptoms felt worse which is kinda nice in an odd way.

Not long to go now, when I came round after EC first time my tummy was flat & I felt so much better. When's EC?x

i can understand that hun the morning sickness is definatley reassuring,
i think ec will be friday, i have a scan monday so will hopefully know more then x

i had my scan today i have 15 follies 1@16 1@15 2@14 3@13 and the rest @ 11 and 12 my lining was 8.5 they said ec should be friday but will confirm on wednesdays scan
feeling a lot better today not so sicky still tired but think im adjusting to the meds x

Lottie that is FAN-BLOOMING-TASTIC! seriously, truly awesome stuff! Just think, all those follies will grow another 2mm a day and you are going to be fit to pop! That's great though - i found that when they did EC they even seemed to find eggs from nowhere... you're going to be quite the battery hen come Friday

thanks rachelle thats good to know, mrssunshine said she thought they grow 2mm a day i was actually relieved that there was 15 because they were really concerned about ohss and put me on 112.5 of gonal f i was worried there would either be far too many or id not respond enough x

Last cycle i did menopur - started 225 for 5 doses then upped to 300 and i got 10 eggs and had about 14 follies - this time they put me on gonal F starting at 300 and i only managed 10 days of stimms as my estrogen went through the roof and i had 16 follies and they were all 16-22 - i was in quite a bit of pain! They actually coasted me and i was told without the drugs they would still grow just fine and they did.... you are a veritable baby making machine!

you were right 10 follies ranging from 17-20 and another 9 that are 12-16 my right ovary has been faster than the left but the consultants really pleased with the sizes and my lining is 10.8 i trigger tonight and im waiting for a call to tell me the time for ec friday x

Just call me pyschic... fantastic news... nice day off the drugs tomorrow and then EC will be here before you know it.

Are you on progesterone suppositories and if so, how many? I only ask as my first cycle i was on 1x 400mg Cyclogest and had an early m/c - at my review they said i should have been on 2 (12 hours apart) and it 'could' have made a difference..... just in case you want to be prepared and full of bum bullets
