Easier to concieve the second time?

We had a very hard time getting pregnant with dd, I have very long cycles and only ovulate once or twice a year. I took clomid and on cycle 2 got my bfp, we had been trying for ages so it felt like a miracle! Dd is now 5 weeks, we are not going for another for at least 2 years, I want to try for a vbac and my hospital requires 2 years between births. My question is has anyone suffered from infertility with their first but had an easier time getting pregnant with their second? I'm hoping pregnancy jump started my system and maybe I'll be able to ovulate on my own this time.
