I accidentally did this to somebody a couple of weeks ago. I always check and ask DH to check too when im ebaying just in case there are marks i cant see. This one slipped through the net, it was a dress i sold for 49p so nothing major but i offered her a refund and offered to let her keep the item as well since i was only going to throw it in the bin. In the end it came out in the wash and she was happy and she was one honest lady not to accept the refund and keep the item that had come up clean. I still felt bad though because she shouldnt have had to do all of that.
It happens to all of us sometimes as sellers but its only right to offer a refund when you made a mistake. I have had sellers just ignore me and con me out of money when they list something incorrectly etc. so i would never dream of doing that.
