Hi ladies cant believe im back here again..
I had a MMC and EPRC on 5th Nov then got a BFP on 5th Dec.
I started spotting 2 weeks ago my levels were almost doubling went for a scan on Monday to find baby was in my right tube and had to have my tube removed as babys heart was beating.
The same day my dad passed away it was awful especially just before xmas.
I have a few questions..
How long after surgery did you try again? I dont know if i ever even want to yet as im so frightened of it happening again.
How long did u bleed for after? I didnt bleed straight away until xmas day when i bled with clots and lots and lots of blood.
How long was you in pain for? I need to go out monday to start funeral arrangements etc worried as i cant walk without looking like a hunchback and it hurts.
when did u take a bath? I had no instructions and no follow up appointment.
Sorry for all the questions just so lost and lonely xx

I've no experience of ectopic but I just wanted to give you a big hug :hugs: and so sorry for your losses

Mel,

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had an ectopic but was treated with methotrexate instead of surgery, so I can't answer all your questions. I would highly recommend, though, treating your body really well for the next little bit to get your health back up to normal. Taking the time to eat healthily and take vitamins and build my exercise routine back up (after being a hunchback for a week!) has really made a difference to my confidence to try again. It's always going to be scary (read: terrifying) going back in for betas/ultrasounds after an ectopic, but if you feel like you've done everything you can to prepare your body for baby, that could give a bit of a boost. At least it has for me :)

In terms of timing, we've waited three months before trying again... but honestly that was only due to the methotrexate shot. I would have preferred to start trying after 1.5 months. I would just trust your body and try again when you feel physically and emotionally ready.

I would also find a good ob/gyn and talk to her about your surgery recovery questions. You should definitely have someone walking you through the process and looking after you.

Sending you big hugs and best wishes for a speedy recovery :)

Sorry for what you had to go through. My first ectopic was a bit more painful to recover from because they had to make a small cut in order to be able to easily remove all the clotting. So it took a few days for me to be able to (more or less comfortably) get up to go to the bathroom. It was pretty painful. The second time I was up the same evening. I am not sure it was a good idea since my tube got scarred. The pain was much less.

I think it would be a good idea to wait a little bit before ttc in order for your body and your mind to recover. My period came back relatively quickly. The first time after about 6 weeks, since my HCG went up to 6000. The second time my HCG was quite low, about 250, and I got my period about 4 weeks past surgery.

After my first surgery I bled for about a week. After my second a bit more and much more clotting, I think it was because my uterus did not shed properly. It did once I got my period though.
Hope this help and best of luck. :hugs:

I had an ectopic back in Oct, it was actually misdiagnosed 3 times by the hospital and I was treated when at 13 weeks pregnant it ruptured, I had massive internal bleeding and emergency surgery, it was very scary.
I was in hospital for 4 days bled for a few days after surgery and was on strict orders from my family and the hospital to rest for a good 2 weeks.
At 5 weeks post surgery I booked in with my doctor who said I could ttc again 2 months after surgery - which is now :) he said he only advised 2 months because of the internal bleeding and letting everything settle.
I still get a little soreness from the cuts on my stomach but I am feeling really good now.

I hope you take your recovery easy.

omg im so so sorry for your loss ... i had no idea it turned out to be eptopic

:(

I hope you recover well and fast.. your must be heartbroken and im so sorry about your dad too hunny

I'm so sorry for your losses.
My ectopic was back in may 2012 but I had to have surgery to have the pregnancy removed from my tube in which they made three incisions which is possibly the same with you.
It
Was about 1.5-2 weeks before I could walk straight but I had to go slow. My incision where painfull for ages but not unbearable, I was back to work 2 weeks after my op, I tired easily nd had to go carefull but it was ok. Think I bled for about 4 weeks after on and off and was adviced to wait 3 months before trying again.
I did conceive again super quick but had 2 Miscarraiges, whether its related I've no idea. I did get my rainbow Tori on the third try!
