Editing question?!

If I want to update a thread etc including the title, how do I do that?
I found that I can edit them by clicking edit in the bottom corner where you thank people but it wont let me edit the title.
Please help anyone???

Hit edit ... then hit advanced edit on the box that appears where you edit your thread
