Hey ladies I know its been forever since I have been on here so I wanted to update you guys! A lot has happened. First elena got the G tube put in and they will eventually switch it out for the GJ tube but she is too small right now they couldn't get it switched. She is home now, got home last Friday! She is currently 8lbs 7oz and she is on a nasal canula, feeding tube through the nose till they can switch the G tube to the other one, and she has a machine hooked to her foot to measure her saturation. She will have these for six months well the breathing part, the feeding one could change to a GJ type instead anytime. She still has ROP but they aren't high and they finally after five months as of today started showing signs of improvement! Finally!! She still has issues with the right side of her heart but they are hoping it will get better as her lungs grow. She is sooo happy to be home. But she was spoiled in the hospital. She was being held ALL the time lol the nurses and volunteers loved her!! I am finally getting the hang of everything. giving the meds, cleaning the G tube, handling her oxygen stuff, the only thing I am not comfortable with is the retaping of her feeding tube since it is a ND tube. She did pull it out sunday at 4am and we had to get to childrens so they could put it back in and xray it. She hasn't taken it out since but then again we have been putting mittens on her. lol. Here are the pics I took of her the other day
