Has anyone conceived after being diagnosed with elevated FSH level?
My story:
I am 28 years of age and trying to conceive my second child. I had my first when I was 24 and had no problems conceiving (four months of trying), smooth pregnancy. Once my daughter was around 18 months we wanted to start trying for another. We conceived after only two months! I was so excited, seven weeks later we miscarried. We waited one month and started trying again. It took us nine months to conceive again. As soon as we found out we were pregnant we had already lost it, six months later the same thing happened. I was so upset...obviously!
My OB referred me to a Fertility Specialist. After lots of test we discovered that I have Factor Five Lighting. Which is very common and can cause the blood in the uterus to clot, may cause a MC. This can be prevented my blood thinner injections after conception. We also found out that my progesterone level is a little low with my natural cycle. So, I am taking a Progesterone supplement after ovulation every month.
My Doctor has had me on different medications and shots. Each month he would increase my dosage and all my body would produce was one follicle. We have "tried" with the FS help for nine months. We have had three IUI's and no BFP! All my lab results came back normal until one month when my FSH level was elevated at 15. Now I'm terrified!
At this point we are taking a break from all the medication and doctors appointments and trying on our own! We seem to have had more luck conceiving on our own in the past! We are trying to stay positive...but now (2.5) years later....its hard to stay positive!
Anyone have words of encouragement? Please!
