I really like the name Ella if it's a girl. Do you think it's getting to be a common name? I don't want her to go to school and there be 4 other Ella's in the same class. Also what middle name do you think would go well?

I don't think it's too poular. I am calling my LO Ella and her middle name is going to be Jayne :)

In the US the name Ella ranked # 19 in 2008... so it's fairly popular. I always go onto the social security website (just do an online search). They list the most popular baby names for each year (top 1000). In my opion this is the most accurate list bc it's compiled by the US govt based on every new baby that a SS card was issued for.

Ella was number 12 in UK in 2008 so it is quite popular but I think it's a great name and grows well, so if you like it. Go for it!

Ella Katherine? Ella Lily? Ella Charlotte? Ella Martha?

I love Ella, it's one of my top 3 for a girl :) I know it has been popular in the past few years but I think people are moving away from it now. It's definitely not too common imo!

I would be going with Ella Nicole x

Ellla is pretty  its not a name iv hear much theres more Ellies

xx

I love Ella and it was our first choice in the early months, but then we realised that it sounded too much of a tongue twister with our surname. We would of had Ella May as her name, but I also really like Ella Grace and Ella Rose. xx

I think Ella is lovely. I don't know any Ella's around here!! x

I dont know ONE Ella!

I really like the name..its so cute! x

I really like it, how about Ella Daisy :) xxx

My friend has a beautiful little girl called Ella. Her middle name is Jade. I think it's a lovely name.

I think it is a beautiful name, however it is very common now (depending what country you are in). For example my oldest daughter had two ella's in her class last year and one in the class next door. My cousin has a baby called Ella Grace as well. And my youngest daughter had an Ella in her kindergarten class.

I don't know any Ella's, so I don't imagine its that common. It was one of my husband's top picks for if we'd been having a girl. I like it, but I admit it wasn't on my list.

I dont know anyone who is called ella but this is what we are calling our little girl! Wanted the name even before I found out I was expecting xx

I was thinking of Ella if I had a little girl but changed my mind because everyone seemed to have an Ella! Like everyone I know seem to be having a Charlie! xx
