Does anyone else get really sharp stabbing pains from down below??

I was seriously about to post this exact same question! I have been getting it for the past 2 days on and off and it's not sharp enough pain to take my breath away, just feels sharp and uncomfortable for a a few seconds.
I am interested in other people's replies :)

Im so glad im not the only 1 i thought something was wrong!! Mines same not completely painful but like a little shock where u cant help but jump lol x

I get them every now and then. It's something to do with the pressure and stretching of things down there and is normal :)

Phew!! So relieved its normal i was worrying! Thanks for the reassurance :D x

Yes!!!! Me too! I was just talking to the hubby about this yesterday. It's just a quick stabbing pain. Maybe 3 seconds. I was wondering what that was.

I get those as well! I think the baby is in there punching or kicking my cervix lol

Yep, it's even common enough to have it's own name, in fact. Lightning Crotch! :haha: Fitting, huh? :winkwink:

I cant believe it has its own name  can stop worrying now and just have a giggle everytime i get it at its funny name haha :) thank you ladies!! X

I was worried about this too! I had this for 4 or 5 days (every hour or so) when i was 13 weeks, and at 16 weeks I had it again, again for 4 or 5 days!! I asked the midwife and she said it was completely normal :)
