Last night was the first time ever that I put my 15-month-old to bed without a nursing session, and we skipped it again tonight. I could tell she was close to dropping the feed because she'd been shortening it over the past few months and sometimes she'd only suck for a few seconds before saying she was done. Last night instead of nursing I rocked with her and sang to her for a bit and then she went to bed without a peep. It was really sweet!
I am a little sad but honestly trying to nurse her in the glider in her room just wasn't comfy for either of us any more. I think having some cuddle time and singing will be a nicer way to end our evenings.
Anyway, I apologize for this pointless and rambling post, but I am curious when other people's babies dropped bedtime nursing? I always thought that was the last feed to go, but in my LO's case I think her early morning breastfeed will be the last (which is fine by me, more time to doze!)
