Last night was the first time ever that I put my 15-month-old to bed without a nursing session, and we skipped it again tonight. I could tell she was close to dropping the feed because she'd been shortening it over the past few months and sometimes she'd only suck for a few seconds before saying she was done. Last night instead of nursing I rocked with her and sang to her for a bit and then she went to bed without a peep. It was really sweet!

I am a little sad but honestly trying to nurse her in the glider in her room just wasn't comfy for either of us any more. I think having some cuddle time and singing will be a nicer way to end our evenings.

Anyway, I apologize for this pointless and rambling post, but I am curious when other people's babies dropped bedtime nursing? I always thought that was the last feed to go, but in my LO's case I think her early morning breastfeed will be the last (which is fine by me, more time to doze!)

My DD has just dropped her bedtime feed at 15 months too and now has cows milk out of a sippy cup which she loves. I still feed in the morning and once during the day but I think that feed will go soon too. I felt really emotional about it at first (hence why I started offering a feed again in the day that she's dropped before) but now I'm used to the idea I'm fine. I felt a bit bad actually because she did ask for it last night but as soon as I said "do you want to read a book?" she wasn't bothered anymore!
