Engorgment!

I'm a first time breast feeder so any advice is appreciated!

My left breast from the start has been producing more. Yesterday the left one became engorged. I think I was feeding my lo off of the left due to that. So now I've been starting feeds off from the right and letting her finish from the left. Is this what I should be doing to help it? My left breast is 3-4 times the size if the right. What should I do?

I'm totally not sure what the 'right' thing to do is but I'm happy to tell you what I would do in your position. I'd keep on feeding as normal, switching breats each time and always finishing on the engorged side to help relieve some of the pressure. I've only been mildly engorged though and nothing that a couple of feeds hasn't fixed. Make sure you are wearing a good supportive bra to help ease the pain too.

I'm not sure if that's any help at all. Can you call your Health visitor for advice or do you have a BF support group in your area?
