im going to say something now and plz dont worry cos im sure its nothing and probs caitlyn prefers one breast to the other BUT i have read that babies have not settled/refused a certain breast and when the lady goes and gets it checked out it turns out they have cancer in that breast

BUT hun im sure its nothing like that. but mention it to your health vistor and mabey book an appoinment with the doc . i really am not trying to frighten you hun that could just be the worse thing worng im sure she just likes one breast to the other

I thought that too but didn't want to worry her. I've read alot of stories like this laetly but all of them are a lot older than Toria.

Just go the doctors and get checked out hun, it might just be a blocked milk duct

Valerie was going through a stage like this. I found out that I had a plugged milk duct that the doctor gave me instructions over the phone on how to get rid of it. Once the duct became unplugged, she went right back to feeding off that breast perfectly. Does she not even latch on? Does she cry when you put her on that breast?

I know this sounds insane, but try squeezing your breast (when they are full/engorged) to see how much milk squirts out. If you have little milk coming out or it looks like milk wants to come out but won't fully squirt out, it could be a plugged duct somewhere. I just reread what I wrote and it sounds like a disgusting thing to do, but that's how I found out about mine. Lol!

Oh I check all the time..

It definately takes alot longer to get my milk to come through on the right, and the flow is alot slower. Guess I'm off to the docs. I'm pretty sure I don't have breast cancer..

With the breast cancer stories, the babies wouldn't feed off the affected side at all from the very beginning, so I wouldn't worry about that. (all you guys been reading take a break then? lol)

I would try gently running a brush along the breast towards to the nipple while you are in the bath, just incase it is a blocked duct, it should help incase it possibly develops into mastitis xxx

When I was breastfeeding Grace she preferred my left breast.So that one became mega chapped and sore and the other was massively engorged! Ouch. Am pretty sure it won't be cancer but possibly a blocked milk duct

Sounds like she may get frustrated because of the slower flow. Bren seems to like the left, then the right, then the left then the right. It switches every couple of days.

Kieran does this now. He never used to but because I fed him more off my right side because it was more comfy for me and the best side when I was lying in bed my milk has increased on that side so he now prefers it to my left side.

He will have my left side but does definately prefer my right boob because of the extra milk in that one and because the flow is also alot quicker in that one.

I think that's what it is. I prefer my left, so she has gotten used to it, and been on it more often.
