DH and I have been trying to get our love life back and it has been PAINFUL. Absolutely excruciating. I've actually cried the three times we've had postpartum sex.
Saw my OB today about the horrible pain and she diagnosed me with atrophic vaginitis and prescribed estrace cream (plant-based estrogen) inserted intravaginally. I am terrified of what this cream will do to my milk supply, and frankly I'd rather be in agony during sex than do anything that would compromise my supply.
Can anyone else relate, or possibly reassure me that using a topical estrogen cream will not make my supply go down? I LOVE breastfeeding. Like seriously LOVE. I never got to do it with DD because she was a preemie and I will not do anything to threaten my nursing time with DS!
Thanks!
