Europe family holidays... France? Spain? Greece?

Hi girls
We are looking at going to somewhere nice in Europe in August but obviously it needs to be child friendly (Ds1 will be 5 and DS 2 and will be 4 months) we'd like somewhere nice (4 or 5 star) can you recommend places I don't even know where to start!! Xx

First off it can be ridiculously hot in Greece and southern France and Spain in August. It was 42 degrees one year when I went to France in the summer.
I'd look first at the climate and choose a place that's likely to be less hot. It's not going to be fun if you can't take the children outside between the hours of 11&3! X

We went to Zante last year. We stayed in the Caretta Beach Holiday Village (booked through Thomas Cook). It has a water park on site (free entry) plus a number of other swimming pools. It was really good & the kids loved it. It's All Inclusive as well.
