I slept for 16 hours (aside from getting up to have something to eat, and going to the bathroom.. then laying back down) .. and have been tired constantly for the last week, no matter what I do I feel exhausted.

Is this normal for 35 weeks? I wasn't able to sleep at ALL during 2nd trimester, now it's all the time.. :dohh:

I just wish I could find some energy to be productive! The thought itself makes me tired. :nope:

You are cooking a baby in there hun, now in the last few weeks he needs more and more, and your energy will go just like that.
rest as much as you can x

I am 35 weeks tomorow hon and i can barely function. I went out for about an hour yesterday to buy a few bits and bobs and came back completely destoyed...... I think it is pretty normal xxx

Thanks ladies, I just really feel like I should be busy now with all the finishing touches for LO's arrival.. it's just impossible with the way I feel.

Glad to hear it's probably normal though.

I have been tired all the way through my pregnancy, but have 3 kids to run after to lol, but I do remember that tiredness I had with my eldest, it isn't even like a walk outside would help, it is even trying to gather the energy to go out for a walk eh.

Hope the tiredness settles for you soon xx

I started to feel like this the last couple days. IT seems every day my energy drops from what it was the day before and yesterday I was DONE! I wanted to work overtime but made it 6-7 hours before having to come home and go to bed! I hope i can make it through my shift on Friday!!! I only have a part day today so that shouldn't be too bad!
I have no idea how I'm going to move to a new house at the beginning of March! NO IDEA AT ALL!

I too am feeling exhausted and it's starting to get me a bit down in the dumps as I just don't have the energy to go out which is so depressing. I was thinking earlier will I ever feel normal again!!

You slept 16 hours?!?! Jealous doesn't begin to cover it, hon. I have insomnia presently, which is so much fun!

i can be in the middle of doing something then just get absolutely exausted and barely keep my eyes open !

Definitely with you here - even a quick walk to the postbox can leave me knackered! Hope your last five weeks go quickly.

sorry to hear you struggling to get some engery....I literally just woke up...so not like me took two hour nap while son was napping after sleeping pretty well last night...still feel tired. Sleep insomnia to complete exhaustion and my guess is probably sleep insomnia again...lol oh the joys of the last few weeks. :hugs:

Thanks for the replies ladies :hugs:

Hope you are all able to conjure up some energy as well, I suppose we should be glad we can sleep being this far along  :)

MisLaww-:hugs: I have been there with the insomnia hun! The one thing that finally set me straight was forcing myself to stay awake for a ridiculous amount of time, then when I fell asleep early I got up early and was tired the next night at a decent time. Since then I've been a bit more on track and able to fall asleep. I hope you get some rest soon. :friends:

I have OCD and since I stopped working I have been so houseproud it's ridiculous. Every surface is disinfected and shiny, kitchen positively sparkles as does the bathroom, and the bedroom is really neat. OH works full time so I loaf around the house and I also make sure the babys room is perfect and I iron OH's shirts and do all the laundry, change the bedsheets all the time etc you get the idea.

He's been off this week.
We have both been pretty much in bed for most of the time - not even having sex (well a little ^^) - just watching films and cuddling...
I am KNACKERED from doing nothing!

The washing up has piled up for THREE DAYS. We have no plates...or mugs...or glasses clean. Plus we got a new kitten yesterday.

There is no incentive to do anything. Some days I don't even get dressed, I just live in Sonic loungepants and a Felix tee, then I have a shower and put make up on just so OH doesn't think I have turned into a total slob haha.

I can't stop yawning. But now it's 2.45am and I have my first antenatal class at 10.30am! I wish I was still drinking coffee :[ urgh. On that note, I'm gonna try and get some sleep...

5 more weeks of this... Nearly 6 for me.

On a separate note...MY RIBS ARE SO BRUISED I COULD CRY. Please remove your feet from my lungs, baby girl :/

xx

I have so much respect for the women who are running around after kids/still working at this point... I'm feeling so drained it's ridiculous. Not able to get anything done around the house at all and there's so much still to do!

I have been exhausted the past couple weeks as well...and it makes me feel better to know that this is striking us all around the same time. lol It sucks, but it must be normal for this time period. I cannot fathom working right now or chasing after a little one. I am so tired it is ridiculous. I have one class one night a week, and the day after I want to sleep the entire day....it's an hour drive to and from class, so after 2 hours of driving and sitting through a 3 hour class, I am ready to give up for the rest of the week. It makes me feel like such a bum, but I can't help it!

Exhaustion is normal, but severe exhaustion could be down to an iron deficiency.
