Hi ladies. I've been on the TTC board but haven't posted in a while and this is my first post in 1st tri. Just a little history- Had a miscarriage in January (very early), and now I'm 7.5 weeks pregnant again after my 2nd round of Clomid. Since I had a previous MC and diagnosed with a blood clot in my uterus this time around, my doc decided to do ultrasounds early. Had one at 5.5 weeks, 6.5 weeks, and my last U/S was on Monday just shy of 7.5 weeks. The first 2 looked great besides the blood clot. We were able to see a heartbeat both times.

Well this Monday, the blood clot was completely gone but my doctor was surprised to see the baby had not grown very much since last week and not only that, but the heartbeat was much slower. He never did get a heart rate in any of the U/S so we don't have numbers, just it was apparent that the pace was much slower this time and my doc told me that I should prepare to miscarry soon and the chances of this pregnancy turning around for the better is less than 25%. He works every other weekend so he will see me this Sunday to do an U/S and see if the heart has stopped beating yet, or if miraculously, it sped up.

So basically, I was just wondering if you or anyone you've known had to go through something similar and things ended up being fine. I guess I'm just looking for that last glimmer of hope, although I've accepted that I've probably lost this pregnancy too. Thanks in advance!

Didn't want to r&r but I am afraid i've never had this so can't advise you. So sorry you are going through this :hugs:. Good luck for your next US.

Massive hugs and praying for a miracle.

Come on little bean.. Xxx

I wouldn't lose all hope yet. If he doesn't have exact numbers he just doesn't know hon. FX that everything will be great at your US on Sunday.

I've told other women that dr's sure know how to send us into a panic. Don't give up hope. I'm sure your little one is just fine. Dr's are wrong all the time and you would be surprised what your body is capable of doing :) Fingers crossed for you hun!

Thank you all so much for giving me hope! :)

If there was a heart beat there always hope.

Thoughts with you

xx

I've been there in my first pregnancy and unfortunately it wasn't fine. The baby was 12 days behind for dates and the heartrate was very slow 62bpm. Any heartrate below 90 early on or below 110 after 7 weeks or so is unfortunately a bad indicator. When I went back two weeks later the sac had grown but the baby had reabsorbed into my body.
It is so very hard when you have got your hopes up by seeing the heartbeat though and I am sorry you are having to go through this.
While there is still a live embryo there is still some hope, but I think you are right to be prepared for the worst.
Again, very sorry that this is happening and wishing you all the best for the future.

Hugs!!! I am sorry you are going through this. While it does not sound perfect, I would not lose my hope until I went back to the doctor. I know easier said than done, but try to think positively, and push those negative thoughts away until you need them, KWIM?? I am thinking of you, and hoping for the best.

Aw, I'm so sorry you're going through this. What the other women said is true... if there's a heartbeat, there's hope! But, as Kat said, if the hb is below 90-100, it's not a good sign. What was your baby's hb this last time?

Sorry you have to go through this, But I have read that the heart rate varies depending upon the time of day and the amount of the baby's activity. So don't lose hope. Good luck. xx
