Experiences with chemical pregnancies?

Oh no hun I’m so gutted for you :(

my nearly 5 weeks and 5+6 and just over 6 weeks ones were horrendous very painful heavy and clotty. Keep rested and hydrated it’s so not fair I wouldn’t wish miscarriages esp recurrent ones on anyone <3 xx

It absolutely sucks waiting it out doesn't it!
Fingers and toes crossed for you this month.
Eeek that's scary about OH being tested for covid, I'm very lucky I live in Western Australia and the numbers here are super super low. I hope it all turns out okay!!

Not sure how I feel about actually getting pregnant again this month, I feel like there's no way I can get pregnant 3 months in a row.. but maybe 3 time lucky??
Probably will go a little over board on testing next week no harm in testing once a day.
I'm going to order bulk ovulation and HCG tests off ebay next week.
I know what you mean... three pregnancies in a row seems unlikely, but definitely still possible! Even though I know it’s statistically unlikely I still have a good feeling about it.

I say go for it with the testing. After two chemicals in a row why not just test away? I’d rather know what’s happening than not. I think once I ovulate I’ll wait until the day af is due to test again. That’s what I did the last two months as well.

I usually test a couple days before my missed period, can't help myself haha!!
No harm in doing so, and I'd rather know if I'm having chemicals.
10 days till my period today. The wait is crap!! I really feel like this month is going to be unsuccessful though. Usually I get super sore/tingley boobs if I am, and so far zilch. That being said, I am only 4 DPO.
So maybe just being a bit negative about it

Where are you in your cycle now Teafor2

You are super early still so I wouldn’t worry about symptoms yet. Besides, they say that every pregnancy is different. Even my symptoms with my two chemicals were completely different.

I’m on cd 12 today. Usually I ovulate between cd 14 and cd 17. I thought I was having some o pain yesterday so I took my last ovulation test and it was very negative. I’m wondering if my ovulation symptoms are going to be super weird this month.

I remember one of the women in the January testing thread got her bfp right after a chemical and she had no idea when she had ovulated because she didn’t have any of her normal ovulation symptoms.

I usually use the clearblue digitals but think I'm going to try strip testing next month..
This month I'm slightly confused on my O date, on the 8th I tested in the morning and it was just a flashing smiley and then I tested again in the arvo and it was a solid one. (I've got two readers) so I tested again the next day, and it was back to flashing smiley. Tested again on the 10th and it was a solid smiley again. So I'm not sure if i ovulated on the 8th or on the 10th.. confusing!! So I'm either 5DPO or 7 DPO.

Hoping ovulation time isn't to up in the air for you this month Teafor2.

I woke up to pee around 3am and when I went to get up I had intense hot searing pain in both my breasts so I don't know what that was all about!

It’s so frustrating not knowing what’s going on in your body, especially when you are used to knowing what to expect. Either way I hope the pain was a good sign for you!

I hope so!
I'll probably crack and do a test each morning come Wednesday if correct I'll be 7DPO then.
Hopefully this pain means something! Has been intense today and have gotten dizzy a couple of times

Share photos of your tests when you do test!

I have been to see my gynaecologist today and was prescribed progesterone for the second half of my cycle. She also said that based on my ultrasound it looks like I’ll ovulate in 2-3 days. We’ll see if it helps! First need to get dh in bed ;)

Excuse my ignorance but what does the progesterone do?
That's good, at least you have a plan of attack!!
I certainly will, went a little overboard today at the chemist haha bough 2× packets of FRER's 7 in a pack lol and a 5 pack of clearblues too. At least I'll have plenty next month too.
Got some cheapie ovulation tests off ebay this morning too

After you ovulate the follicle forms a cyst called the corpus luteum. The corpus luteum produced progesterone, which promotes implantation. If you’re pregnant the corpus luteum hangs around and continues producing progesterone until the placenta takes over (I think around 9 weeks). If you’re not pregnant the corpus luteum just kind of fades out and signals to your body to start your period.

Basically my gyno thinks my corpus luteum is on the weaker side and not producing enough progesterone, which would mean the pregnancy either can’t successfully implant or be maintained.

Hopefully by supplementing the progesterone I’ll be able to stay pregnant.

Wonder if that's a factor with me.
It's hard where I live is only smaller and we don't have any fertility specialists in town only GP's and the like. I'd have to drive 500km to see one.

That’s hard. My gyno isn’t a fertility specialist actually. I went to see one when I needed a surgery to remove my uterine septum, but after that I went back to her. She’ll refer me to a specialist if we come to IVF, otherwise she does it all.

I think age is a factor with how they treat multiple chemicals as well. I know that as you get older you’re more likely to have multiple chemicals just because of the age of your eggs, and if that’s the case it just comes down to the math of eventually getting a good one. If you’re younger you’re unlikely to have multiple chemicals due to egg quality and it’s more likely to signify some other sort of problem. I’m 31 so I guess I’m still young enough that they think it’s something other than egg quality. Also I have never had a successful pregnancy before, which is apparently the only sure way to 100% confirm your progesterone levels are okay.

Not sure how old you are, but I see from your signature that you have two children, which is a good sign!

I'm only 28, I have a 7 and 8yo.
Found out my OB/gyn is in town in July so I'm going to ring in June and make an appointment to see her if we still haven't been successful.
I feel like pms symptoms in full swing unfortunately so I think I'm out for this month :(

Well, I'm officially giving up this month!
Bad pms symptoms and stark white HCG test. So not going to waste any more this month. AF due on Wednesday.

Fingers and toes crossed for you this month!! Hope O pain isn't to terrible for you

So sorry :( It sounds like you’re super fertile though since you got pregnant twice in a row, so hopefully next cycle you’ll catch the egg again.

I think I ovulated yesterday because I had worse than usual o pain. I don’t mind it hurting though as long as it was a good ovulation!

How are you going Teafor2? How many DPO are you?
No luck for me this month, af due in 2 days. But I'm okay for that, at least I haven't had another chemical this month. Just want to get AF over and done with and start trying again.
