expired formula

Hi ladies I just looked in the cupboard and realized the the ready made good start formula i have expired may 3... would it be safe to use within the next day or so..I'd hate to throw it all out but would rather do that then make my baby sick. I know with a lot of food we eat it doesnt magically expire that day... what are your thoughts??

Thanks..yeah that is pretty much what i was thinking... I hate having to throw it out as the stuff is so expensive...lessen learned..pay closer attention to the dates when i purchase it!!

Id hate to throw it out too but we go through a can a week. Formula is ok here. I spend $80 a month

I bought this stuff on sale and planned on using it when we traveled to the cottage since its ready made.. We didn't go to the cottage so I never even thought to check expiry

Umm I would use it...don't get me wrong i wouldn't give them meat or fresh food that is that much out of date but the ready made stuff is made under such sterile conditions and if it has been kept in good conditions then like you said it wouldn't go off so quickly. I know they are super extra cautious on the dates so if it looks and smells ok then I would use it. It's up to you really, I'm not particularly precious about use by dates unless it is massively out of date or is something that isn't sterile but they are made under such strict conditions I would feel ok with it

Well since today was garbage day I opted to throw it out.. I figured I'd go with caution just in case.. Thanks for all the input ladies!!
