Expired pre-seed

Hi

I am trying to get pregant again, and last night I used some pre-seed lubrication left over from last time, without checking the expiration date. It's about 8 - 9 months over the expiration date... so do you think its ok to use or will it kill off the little spermies now? I wonder how much they cover themselves with expiration dates, so if I could use it I would, but obviously don't want to hamper my chances of getting pregnant. Thanks guys for your input.

Hi Frangipane, I'm just thinking that if it's expired, it means that the preservatives in it aren't going to work as well, so there's a higher chance for bacterial growth. However, I cannot say that for sure. You can always call the company that makes it and ask them, but they will probably tell you to throw it away to cover their butt if anything went wrong. I personally don't use anything that's expired, but it's up to you. Good luck!

i would be more concerned about a UTI from expired lube. i would definitely not risk it.

Yeah, I would think it would be prone to more bacteria and such - which could harm you or the spermies! I know the stuff is pricy, but I would def get another tube if it was that old.
