I don't get it - I bought one and the one time I've used it, LO was soaked all the way through after about 3 hours. There doesn't seem to be any waterproofing to the nappy, it's just fabric. Am I using them wrongly? I looked up a video on how to use the inserts so I think that's ok but are they only meant to be worn for short periods of time?

Help please!

As far as I understand, they need covers* - you may have just been using the absorbent nappy part on its own, in which case it would soak through to clothing..

*does depend on which one you have of course!

Which ones have you got lovely?

Have you got the little booster with them or just the nappy? What kind of nappy is your LO normally in?

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to figure out what might be going on x

You shouldn't need a wrap unless you're using bitti boos. The other ones of those, the night nappy and the printed fitteds we don't get in this country :flower:

Ittis are beautiful, they may not last long but they make up for it in beauty ;)
A lot of people have trouble with them leaking, but once you get them right they are brilliant

OMG they do a night nappy?????!!!! I think I would pay for shipping just to get one of these!

ETA: Oh :( Did you just mean the Bitti Boos?

They say they do on their .com.au website info bit but I've never actually seen one. Might be an urban myth ;) Or discontinued, like the brites.x

I'm looking now lol! But nothing there :(

Sorry for hijacking OP!

'Print fitted nappies, bitti boos, and itti bitti night naps are made from entirely absorbent fabrics, so will require a cover to prevent moisture leaking through to clothing. itti bitti Snap in AIO’s are all in one nappies and do not require a cover, as the waterproof layer is built into the nappy.'

Mythical things!

night naps, cute name... I may have to steal that ;)
I want one! :(

oh now that is exciting! i love itti, i just hope they work! i was amazed this week out how quickly the aio dried to!

Sorry! :flower: I'm no good on tuttos, they leaked every time for me :( D'lish fit though  jen's the one to ask about Tuttos, she loves them :)

have you got both inserts in, folded to the right sizes? how about the mini booster?

have you prewashed it (assuming its brand new)

(if not brand new) has it been strip washed since you got it?

are you using the hip snaps to keep the 'wings' in place?

if all of those are 'yes' then it might not be for you... but the tutto is VERY good, and lasts pretty much the same amount of time as a regular aio or sio, normally longer. the waterproofing is in between the fluffy outer, and the cloth inner, so you wont see/feel it, and no outer wrap would ever be needed for it xx

I bought 2 itti bitti tuttos and they leak every time. I gave up and plan on selling those diapers. Plus the amount of inserts/coloured snaps, etc confuse the heck out of DH so for us they're just not worth it. It's a shame because they're gorgeous diapers and cost a fair bit but I just don't like them.
