Hi all,
My girlfriend and I are still in our first month of TTC#1 - and we could use some advice/opinions.
She stopped taking her pill 3-4 weeks ago, so it's very early. She's experiencing symptoms that could either be withdrawal from her pill or early signs already - feeling sick, dull aches/pains in stomach, peeing far more than usual, and such.
She is also now 4 days later, and she is never late. Even when she stopped taking her pill once before, she was still on time for her first AF. So this is unusual for her.
Wednesday (2 days late) she took a standard clearblue test, and we got an extremely faint line. I mean it was very, very faint. Barely visible. We darkened the photo and it becomes easier to see that there's definitely something there, but I'm reading about evap lines.. so we wern't sure how to read that.
I would show a photo of the line but I'm not able to post an image until I've made 10 posts here.
Today she took a digital test (now 4 days late) and we got "Not Pregnant". Absolutely gutted to see that.
I've been reading hundreds of articles and forum posts about HCG levels, early testing, false negatives, evap lines, and I just don't know what to think..
Is it possible that we could still be pregnant with a digital giving us a negative? Could it be telling us no because it's too early? 3-4 weeks off her pill is still very early to tell, right? I'm reading everywhere that ANY kind of line on a sd clearblue test is a positive, even if it's barely visible without darkening the photo.
I went out today and picked up another sd test, this time a different brand to the clearblue we've been using and this time it's pink dye, and we also have another digital test... should we test again tomorrow? Maybe Sunday? Wait a week?
Any advice/opinions would be brilliant!
Cheers,
Paul
