What is a babies eye sight like at 5months? Like how far are the meant to be able to see ect.

My health visitor said they wont be able to see across a normal size room untill they are about 10months but if i stand across the other side of my large living room and smile at Tye if he looks my way, He smiles back! So he must be able to see me pretty clear?

Yeah Faith could see me across a room at 5 months and so can Ollie and he's 5 months too so I disagree with the HV definitely!x

I'm fairly sure Erin can see across the room now and she's nearly 5 months

I think your HV meant that they cant see CLEARLY across a room until they are older. They should really explain themselves a bit more, of course a baby can see across a room they just wouldnt see it as clearly as you or I until they are about 8-10 months (I always thought it was 6 months but the link I posted states other)

HVs can be so irritating. Alasdair always seems to have had really good eyesight. I wonderhow they figure the ages out anyway!

Maley can see me too and she is younger than Tye.....in a way i glad i have only seen my HV once cos at least i can get on with my baby...and i have Bnb to ask any questions
