F.A.O: Ladies who have had blood tests. Pleeeeease help me.

Hi ladies,
I wasn't sure which forum to post in so I thought I'd come in here.

I'm TTC my second child and have been trying for nearly a year. My cycles are pretty regular and arrive every month give or take a few days.

I am using OPK's, have EWCM and cramps so I gather from that, I am ovulating. The issue I have is that I start spotting between 5 - 7 days after ovulation. I may spot for a few days and then AF will arrive.

The doc has ordered me to have the blood tests on CD 3 and the second one 7 days before my next AF will start. The CD 3 blood test has been done but when do I go for the second one if I start spotting 7 days after Ov???....Aaaaaarrgggghh

Can anyone help me please?

The second set will be Day 21 bloods to check your progesterone levels to see if you ovulated. Called day 21 because the doctors work on text book 28 day cycles, so essentially, 7 days before next period. You say you have regular cycles so work from those, regardless of spotting, although, I would ask about that.

Thanks Princess Lou. I did mention the spotting to the doc and that's why she ordered the blood tests. I guess I'm just worried about the spotting coming so quickly after ovulation.

I'm not sure what the dr is looking for in the blood tests. usually random spotting is a sign of endo which would be an explanation for secondary infertility.

The thing is, I'm not sure if it is random spotting because its quite 'regular' when it occurs. Around 7 days after Ov and just before AF arrives. It's like this every month....

Oh we'll, we'll see.
