Faint Positive at 19 DPO

Hi,
I am feeling really confused, I am now 19 DPO and have faint positive tests and a Clearblue Digital test saying Pregnant 1-2 weeks (should this show 3-4 weeks?) - all tests take the full 3 mins to show a positive but the control line appears almost instantly. I feel sick, my boobs hurt and just have this strange feeling which I can't describe.
Last time I was pregnant I tested on the day of my missed period and the test was a very dark line which appeared instantly.
I have been to see the DR but she informed me that because the tests do not appear straight away I am prob not pregnant, she did a test whilst I was there and it took 3 mins for a faint positive to show - is this right??
What is happening?? Am I having some sort of chemical pregnancy or am I going MC.
Please please can I have some advice (good or bad I dont mind), I am pulling my hair out!!!!!!!!!

Maybe you're not 19dpo? You may have ovulated later, so arent as far along as you thought!! Every pregnancy is different too! Good luck, and try not to worry!

oh hunny try not to stress, ok the digi should not read 3-4 just yet, the test tells u how long ago u concieved not how far pregnant you are so thats fairly accurate and the faint lines....can i ask what test are u using?? if there IC (which is doc tests are also) there crap) then this may be why u keep getting faint lines....
also some people have slow rising HCG and every pregnancy is different even for the same womanm iv had 2 kids and both pregs were totally different.
try not to panic best thing u could do now is try and get bloods done this is really the only accurate way of determining of HCG is rising as it should be, but until then pls try not panic hunny, hig hugs to u xxxx

I have been using First Response Early Tests and Sainsburys own brand. I know I should not worry but I can't help it, last october I had faint tests at 16 DPO and then bled at 21DPO - not sure if that was a pg or not??. Perhaps I should just enjoy the weekend and listen to your sane advice, you are right no 2 pregs are the same and I should remember that but I am such a worrier hence all my waffle. I jus't can't help but pee on tests to see if the result has changed and I dont think it is helping - I wonder if there is a name for someone who has a addiction to peeing on Test sticks - i think its driving my hubby nuts..lol. Hi Chrissyellen, I wouldn´t worry! I did a FRER this morning, got a line (not faint, but not as dark as the control line). Afterwards, I went directly to do my blood tests. I just got them back and they say 138mUI/mL. Supposedly, FRER is 20mUI sensitivity, but if so, I would guess I would be getting stronger lines.

Chrissy- I am in the same boat as you. Faint lines, then a stronger one, then a faint one. My first faint line was 15DPO...now I am 18DPO and it's not a very strong line like you would think it should be. BUT- a line, is a line, is a line. And if you have a line, you are pregnant!

Yes as Amos says a line is a line, perhaps you ovulated late this month, good luck.xx

i would agree if your getting lines and a digi says pregnant, you are def pregnant hun, try not to worry and just enjoy it, sometimes i think doctors dont have a clue!!!! how can they say you are prob not pregnant when you have positive tests???? their tests are higher sensitivity and take longer to show up than shop bought ones. gl to you, im sure you will be fine

Try not to worry - I got my BFP at 17 dpo on a FRER and it was a very thin line compared to the control and certainly didn't appear straight away. Your Dr should realise as their tests are so insensitive that a line on that is certainly a pregnancy! As I say, my line was thin and I ovulated very late in my cycle, so thought I would be overdue, but my son is 3 and a half now, born at 37 weeks!!!

HPT = a line is a line is a line. It doesn't need to be thick and bright for it to be a line!

Give it a few more days and test again to reassure yourself

Hi, Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. Last Sunday I had a brown discharge so went to the Dr who did a blood test, my results came back on tuesday and it was a HCG level of 95 (22 DPO) they did another test 2 days later and it was 65 - very low. I was told to prepare for a mc. How long will it take for the mc to happen? Could the results be wrong? I don't feel like I will mc. I am just so hurt confused anoyed angry fed-up sad mixed - a whole range of emotions inc still hopefull x

Yes there is a name for POAS addicts it's called the TTW and TTC Ladies!!! That is normal and you need to tell your hubby to sit back and let you pee your heart out! I bet you just OV'd or implantedlater than you think. Everyone is different HCG doubles at a different rate. Enjoy your weekend and kick your feet up. The doctor should not have told you that if it turns BFP in the time limit then you are PREGNANT! I'm not sure where you live or what kind of doctor you went to but I wouldn't trust that information and I'm a nurse! Not that it means anything ! Good Luck and keep us posted. If it would make you feel better post the pics of your tests on here all the ladies are really good at letting you know whether to be worried or not!

On April 19th i missed my period so i took a ERFR pregnancy test it came back positive. i was 16 dpo. at 17 dpo took two more both were positive. took one at 18dpo it came back faint. i had went to the emergency room yesterday for a tooth issue and was perscribed tramadol and penicillin i asked them to.do a pregnancy test and they said it was negitive i told them about the positives i had they said their tests there suck and to try again a week after my period is due. I took one this morning and came back faint positive it was the 1$ dollar store test. im not sure what to think up to this point. do i keep waiting or have i drank to many caffeine products or the medicine. thia past january i lost a daughter at 20 weeks due to a cord accident ive never had any misscarriages so im very puzzled. any opnions or advice would be great.
