ok was due for af on 6/10 she did not show. tested on 6/13 with a cheapy got bfn. on 6/15 took nasty spill down stairs, needed stitches, xrays and ct scans. got a bfp today 6/20. so am aproximetly 5 weeks pregnant. was wondering if i should be worried about the fall. do you think it could have harmed the baby? i am a little frazzeled however oh says not to worry bubba was still just starting to cookso he should be fine. i don't know if i follow his logic however. any info would be great thanks

I am sure it will be fine. Did the hospital say anything at the time? Did they cover the baby when you needed the x-rays? I have read that women have car crashes in early pregnancy and that they don't have miscarriages from that, the baby is well protected, and at 5 weeks you have no placenta to rupture. So I am sure everything will be ok, as long as you haven't had any pain in your tum x

Did you get hurt in your abdominal area? If not then I think you should be fine. Ask to have a scan next week if you feel nervous/stressed about it - just to be reassured.

they did cover meduring my xrays. but they never told me i was pregnent, even though they did a test since i was late. have not been experiancing any pains in that area. just still a little nervous

This answer isn't very scientific but you fell and then an entire week later got a BFP. If the fall did hurt the baby and dislodged it from your uterus (hey --- it might have not even attached yet and was free floating --- even better) then you would not have gotten a bfp right?

I am sure you will be fine. Like the others said, you still got a BFP so the little bean must be doing ok. If you are really worried ask your health care provider for an early scan and get your hcg levels checked.

my mum was in a car crash when she was pregnant with me! the body is surprisingly strong when protecting a baby :D lol i would be more worried about the x rays than the fall but you say they covered you etc so i wouldnt worry hun! xx

thanks ladies i just needed a little reasurance that it should be fine . thanks again
