I am due to be getting fake eyelashs done this Friday for my wedding Saturday.

Are they any good and is it worth the hassle?

Hazel

Personally i don't use them as i have quite naturally long lashes (cow aren't i :laugh2:) but my friend has them done all the time and she raves about it!

just heard they can be a pain to take off?? I have rubbish ones and just want to try and make my eyes stand out.

I sometimes get them done if i'm going somewhere, are they the individual ones? I think they are great, feel totally weird when its windy though  You can just pick them out or they fall out on their own. I once tried to keep them in as long as possible and lasted about 3 weeks but i ended up with no eyelashes left pretty much

I'd say they were worth it.

I just don't want them ruining my own ones? I don't wear much makeup so thought they might be quite nice.
They just normal fake ones but the saloon put them on for you.

Theyre ok if you dont mind having no eyelashes when they come off, i had some done 2 weeks ago, they lasted a week nicely but then odd ones started to fall out and have gaps.

Hurt like hell trying to get them off

They didnt ruin my own the first few times i got them on, but cos i got to know the women they started putting looaads on and making it really obvious so normally you only lose a few of your lashes but i lost tons. I'm sure you could ask them if they had any sloution that took them off easily?
They are good if you're not wanting to bother with much make up esp if you're going away and dont want to use any mascara.

hmmm so not sure what to do. Don't really want what i have left falling out! Or the pain of talking them off......

Oh, I didn't know they hurt to take off! Good to know for the future! x

Are they the eyelash extensions? I had extensions done a few months before I got married as a trial. As soon as I cried, they came off and looked odd. As its so close to your big day, I'd think twice. Sorry xx

Thanks everyone think i better not risk it. Whats wroung with the natraul look? :)

Why dont you just buy regular fals eyelashes instead? Just buy some decent ££ ones and they wont come off

My wernt natural looking at all and could of easily gone on a few more days which was why i had such a hard time taking them out, some people do, some people dont, trouble is you wont know until you try them

It depends on what kinda of false lash you are going for. There are three main types:

1: false strip lashes - you get them in boots etc are one long strip that goes on your EYELID and will last 2-8 hours at best

2. False cluster lashes - a group pf 3/4 lashes which are applied to your EYELID, normally around 10-12 are applied, last 2-8hours at best.

3. Eyelash Extensions - around 50 are applied to each individual EYELASH, will remain glued to each lash for the length of the lash's life, normally around 28days. This means you will lose false lashes as your natural ones renew themselves, which is what normally happens. A lot of people don't realise your eyelashes grow and fall out every 28days, all at different stages so you are never baldy. Eyelash extensions can be done is a huge range of length, thickness and shape to suit your requirements. When done properly they are fabulous. It is always best to find someone who has a good range of lashes, as many salon's only have a couple of sizes and they may not suit you.
Eyelash extensions can be taken of easily by a salon, they will have a solution which disolves the glue safely, leaving your lashes perfectly fine.

(btw I do extensions for a living so I know what I'm saying )
