Father's Day (UK) is coming..!

Anyone got anything nice planned or any great gifts planned for Father's Day? It'll be my partners first 'real' Father's Day (with his own biological child) and I hope to do it justice for him!

I've bought him some gifts and cards (from all the kids) today and concocted a really sweet poem to write in his card from the baby, which I'm pretty sure will make him cry (he's a crier, haha!)

It's father's day in Canada this Sunday as well. It's my husband's first as well. Honestly it is a bit sad but this year my husband wants the day off not having to do anything with baby playing video games with his friend . (I'll be honest I took mother's day off and went out all day)

My husband made a foolish purchase so I am not buying anything for him. Next year though I think we will try to make it mean more.

It's my husbands first Father's Day too so I've tried to make it special (without going too mad as he is about to buy himself a new PlayStation so that's a big purchase!)
I've bought a vest for baby that says happy first Father's Day for our baby girl to wear with a pink tutu, I'll hopefully have her in the outfit when he gets up (will let him have a lie in!) also got card, helium balloon, hoody, socks, chocolate, a personalised mug with pics of baby and another vest for baby that says 'I may find a prince one day but daddy will always be my king' as presents for him! We're going out for either breakfast or lunch then to my mums house for Sunday dinner

It's fathers day on Sunday here in the US as well. We don't have much special planned for that. I'll make sure we treat him well but it's also our daughters birthday Sunday so I feel like the focus will be mostly on her he got himself a video game which for us a big splurge so no gifts. He is a really good father to our kids though so certainly deserves to be noticed

It's my OH's first Father's Day as well. I bought a nice scrapbook and tomorrow Isla is going to "draw" a picture with her finger paints to put in the scrapbook. I am also going to do an impression of her hands and feet in the book and a photo of her finger painting. The plan is that each Father's Day she will draw him a picture or write him a note or something in the book.

My twin boys are going to be with their dad on Sunday (going tonight for the weekend) so they decided to give my OH his 'step-fathers' day cards and gifts lastnight. He cried at their cards, so Lord knows what he's going to be like with the baby's card...! I keep adding bits into the poem and I need to stop because it's getting really long now, haha!

I am leaving today for a conference for work, so won't actually be around this year (good timing, right?). So he gets to spend the whole weekend alone with her (something he doesn't often get to do since he travels more than I do usually) and they are going to go swimming and shopping and other assorted things. As for gifts, he's getting a card we made and a card she made for him at nursery and then homemade brownies and a bottle of a really nice single malt scotch he likes. We also went away camping last weekend as a father's day treat since I was going to be gone this weekend.

DS1 painted a terracotta flower pot which I've just varnished, we are going out stone hunting for the bottom for drainage and will fill with soil and giving DH the pot and some sunflower seeds so he and DS1 can grow a sunflower this summer.

It's our first Father's Day as well.... I plan on a day at home or if the weather isn't rainy out to a lake or river. Make pho or pad thai.

I'm going to use my screen printing kit to make a onesie say "Happy Father's Day Daddy!"

This is our second fathers day and this is what I have done, but I put in some pages for last year too..

I've added pages for:
- hand prints/foot prints
- photos of the two of them
- a drawing ( he can scribble now)
- a nice letter (I've wrote it this year and will write it until he can)

Anyway the plan is to update it every year

I gave my other half the gift of his second born son! Our little boy was born at 3.19am on fathers day so spent the first part of the day in hospital the my oldest son came home and gave him his card he made a play group, the card we bought and some nice whiskey we got for him.
