Hi All

Just wondered if anyone had any experience of dodgy faulty lines on IC HPT's?

I tested a few days ago using an IC and had a very faint line that came up in the time frame and then faded away. Thought it may be an evaporation line.

So next day just to make sure, I used a Superdrug test which was a definate BFN.

I waited until today and tested again using an IC just out of obsessiveness LOL. It was a BFN - no faint line in test area. Then noticed a second pink line developing right next to the control line, litterally a millimetre away from it

Theres now half a pink line and its still there but its way tooo close to the control line for me even to consider it.

Wondered if anyone else had had a similar experience and if you think its a faulty test?

I have tried to take a photo but I cant get it to focus properly!!!

I haven't had any experience with ics but I had some faulty tests from the dollar store and I count them as cheapys too. I think you can get a faulty test no matter the brand or cost. I am sorry, I wish you had gotten a dark BFP instead.

I've had a couple of clearly faulty IC tests. One sounds a bit like yours, I got a nice pink line right next to the control line, but when it dried it looked more like a smudge. Another had a line that came up bright blue instead of pink! So yes, they can definitely be faulty.

hmmm iv taken an ic nearly everyday now for 6 days and all have had evap lines and in the time limit, i also heard that smudges and lines that fade away are also classed as evaps although how a red line can be an evap i dnt know as it wouldnt go red unless there is hcg binding the the components in the test but theres a mystery for as all to ponder over lol. hope its ur bfp huns i can only suggest using a own brand superstore test or frer xxxxxxxxxxx :dust:
