Favourite accent

You do sound Geordie in Cumbria- MM! :haha:

I love Geordie and anything Southern (I bloody love Watford accents)... Hate my own!

I love geordie and Yorkshire accents on men, I like Aberdeenshire accents and certain irish but I'm not sure which area.
I'm from the Midlands and fairly well spoken apparently with the odd slightly northern/Leicester pronunciation. The more I go to work in the local area where I live now the more chavvy I sound :haha:
Xx

Pretty much any.

I especially love British accents. I've only heard them in person maybe twice but oh so adorable.

Nobody can ever tell where I'm from in the UK just from my accent  I've been told I sound quite posh but I really don't think I do

Ooh forgot about italian I absolutely love an italian accent! xx

It drives me MAD when people say 'I love Scottish accents'. There is no such thing... I live in Fife, which is VERY different to Edinburgh (20 minutes away) to the point it's almost a different language. It's a very different dialect. And then you have the like of the Highlands and Glasgow. As for Aberdeen...

My favourite accents are the Donegal accent, the fact they speak so fast. It's where my husband is from and when he gets drunk or is with his friends it gives me 'flutters'. Also, those from Mississippi. Especially girls. I wish I was from there. The way they say their 'o', like 'both'.:cloud9:

I like posh English accents. Well not posh, but Southern. Being from the North any Southern accent sounds posh to me! I am also a sucker for Irish accents on men. I am moving to Hull soon, and unfortunately for me I pick up accents super quickly. Have to say goodbye to pronouncing my Os properly

I can't imagine you with a Hull accent!

I like a subtle Irish accent - I was talking to someone with a strong Irish accent last week and couldn't understand a damn word! x

I'm in Louisiana, so right next to Mississippi. I've lived here all my life, but I can't think of how an O sounds in a southern accent vs anywhere else? Anyway, I don't think my accent is very strong compared to some, but I'm in a city and the people that grew up in the small towns or country areas seem to have much stronger accents. I can tell what areas in Louisiana people are from by their accent sometimes so it can vary greatly in a small area.

I'm Welsh but live in Scotland and have picked up the west of Scotland twang. I actually love that accent on my fiance especially when he's drun and its more pronounced.

I also love the Swansea accent and South African accents.

I'm dreading it! Adding Hullish to my current accent-mishmash will not be pretty! :dohh:

I have a thing for Irish accents. <3

I also had no idea there were so many different accents within the UK. I've only ever heard of Cockney (I think it is called?). I can't tell the difference between British, Scottish, and Welsh, though

I love Scottish, New Zealand and British accents.

Being Australian, I don't notice our accent or even think we have one, but when I hear one on an overseas show or movie I love the sound of it in contrast with other accents.

Northern irish. There's a cartoon that my daughter watches with a little northern Irish girl in it and I could sit and listen to it all day lol

It's different! Lol I know exactly what she meant about the "o" sound in the south. It's a lot of sounds, not just that one. I think it's more that the words get drawn out.

I am from south coast UK and dont have a particular accent. Just sound like a news reporter lol

I like a good well spoken british accent. Like Mr Darcey in Bridget Jones.

You can tell a Scottish accent though. I wouldn't know one from the other but I can tell when someone is Scottish.
It's like when people say they like British accents, it seems like a blanket claim for a place with hundreds of accents that vary greatly, but you still know someone is British by their accent.

All Scottish accents are the same to me, and Irish, whereas I'm from Wales so I can tell the difference between different welsh accents but I guess a lot of people wouldn't be able to.

Quite like a London accent too (not cockney, I don't mind cockney but thats not what I mean, cockney is quite distinguished), it's weird my DS has a Landan accent as he's lived here since he started talking properly and goes to nursery, makes my family giggle no end, we will probably move when he is 5 so I wonder if it will stick?
