After 1990- its like someone hit every filmmaker in the world with a shit stick and the majority of films since then are corny/over the top/just rubbish. I think I must be the only woman on the planet who didn't cry at the Notebook?

Bridesmaids and a few others are an exception to this though

I love Muriels Wedding! Such a good film I haven't really seen a lot of chick flicks but did watch The Notebook with my niece a while ago and liked it. Ryan Gosling is quite cute! Does Blue Valentine count as a chick flick? If it does then I loved that as well - Michelle Williams is brilliant and Ryan was not too bad in it either.
