Fed up of waiting

I am shocked, surely you need an earlier scan like you say, so the development can be detected and, god forbid, you can be made aware of any problems. I'd kick up a fuss, really, do it and Leanne ...... 20 weeks for first scan??? What's going on?
I'm in BG and I have been a little worried about the kind of care I would receive. I can't fault it, ok some of the hospitals are in a terrible state, ours isn't great, but the docs are great. The doc knew of my mc last year, when I went 3 weeks ago he gave me scan, said all was well, come back next week. Went back, all was well and told me to come back from 17 - 21st March, 4 weeks later. Ok, it costs 20 leva (approx. 7 pounds) each time plus anything for medication (had 2 injections, 1st cost 30 pounds, 2nd cost bout 10 pounds), so the cost can add up but in my eyes it's worth it.

Let us know how you get on

Thanks for the replies

Im keeping my fingers crossed to grab a cancellation appointment. I will call middle of next week.

Gosh, 20weeks for a 1st scan. I cant believe a scan every 4 weeks- that fab

I really dont want to faff around with going to a diff hospice with hospice records from here to there. The one im assigned to is the main hospice and a good one too.

Well, hon, that's the norm around here and I made it through two healthy pregnancies. I don't really think there is much they can do. You would think though because I am older that they would request one to be done earlier. If I had problems, they would have me done earlier but I've not experienced anything wrong.

It's a pain in the arse but I don't think much can be done.

I'll just have to remain jealous of all of you :)

I have to say though back with my others there were no private 4d scans available here in Canada. So, I am happy that I have that option later on whereas I didn't with my other two. I had the one scan at 20 weeks and then just had to wait until they were born. This time, I have an option :)
