My lo2 is almost 9 months. She is ebf and is not really taking to solids. She stil mainly breastfeeds...it wouldnt be a problem except im finding it draining. She is 21lbs...

She also feeds every 2hrs at night so clearly she needs more sustenance in the day but doesnt seem to be eating solids well...how can i encourage her to eat more in the day?

At about 9 months they start needing more calories than just breastmilk alone provides. This won't mean she necessarily cuts out any of her day time feeds immediately (because they need additional calories not substituting one lot of calories for another) but you may find she's able to wake less frequently at night (no promises!).

What type of weaning did you do? Is she just not interested or is she spitting it out or acting distressed?

Some children like variety and choice. There was a Mum on here a while back who said her daughter loved it when she had a different bit of food in each segment of an ice cube tray e.g cube of cheese in one hole, then stick of cucumber, then finger of toast, then half a cherry tomato, then piece of fish finger etc. That kind of thing might spark her interest and you'll get to know her preferences too.

Good Luck!
