Feeding themselves

How did you get your LO to feed themselves with a spoon? For quite a while we've given Callum the spoon during and after meals to get him used to it, he'll usually bang it on the highchair or he'll throw it on the floor. I've tried to get him a preloaded spoon so he gets used to feeding himself but he'll just drop his hand like he can't be bothered to feed himself! Any tips? xx

Ruby started feeding herself with a spoon at 12 months, we never taught her, she just did it, from copying us I guess.

Just keep putting a spoon out with his food...he'll figure it out eventually!
It's just something they have to do to learn how to do it, IYKWIM?
