Ok so day 9 trying to breastfeed. Baby is latching pretty good no problems there, but she is literally hungry all the time. Every time I think she is finished nursing I lay her down and she is crying and rooting again. Trying the pacifier works for a second then spits it back out. I have not slept in days bc it seems as though her needs are never satisfied. Any advice would be amazing as I seriously feel like I am losing it .

Completely normal, she's clusterfeeding to build your supply. It's exhausting but it won't last forever. Have you tried feeding her while laying down in bed? Bedsharing seriously saved my sanity in the early days.

Very normal hun.

It's like torture but it'll stop.

You're doing amazing to deal with it. It's a HUGE test of willpower.

But if you get through this it'll get a bit easier as you'll have more milk. X

At the stage I wanted to quit every day. But now I'm so glad I stuck it out.

There is a great webpage that tells you the benefits of BF at each stage which really helped keep me going. Let me find the link:

It's completely normal....hang in there it does get easier and eventually you get good breaks between feeds

Your are doing great, don't listen to any doubts about quality of milk etc.

Just try and do nothing but look after you and lo (if poss), nothing else matters. It's pretty brutal in the beginning, hugs to you.

Read the day 7-10 bit here. And of course the start.

Sound familiar? ;)
