I got paid today so after going out to eat I went to hobby lobby (probably a bad idea...lol) Anyways I got a bunch of craft stuff and made this door hanger for Arianna :D.

What do ya think of it?

Also, I bought wooden letters of her name to hang above her crib, I am using the same colors I used on the door hanger and the same base color as well, but I wanted to alternate between each letter, dots on one, random sized lines on the other. Think it will look good? Her bedding has all those colors in it.

So cute! I am planning on going to Wal-Mart and have you seen those wooden letters they sell? I'm going to spell out her name and paint it to match her room! Your door hanger is adorable though! :)

I ended up buying medium density fiberboard letters because they are a lot cheaper than wooden letters, lol. They require more prep work (they need to be primed with KILZ, sanded, then primed again) but I am gonna make OH do that part, lol.

Thanks tho, I had fun doing it :D. I wasn't sure if the ladybugs would look good on it cause they dont really match, but I think it turned out cute.

Edit: Just noticed you live in Colorado? Where abouts? I used to live in Littleton by Columbine HS.

Aww, I really like it!
I wish I could be a bit more creative!
x

I live in Parker, about 30 south minutes from Denver.
Ever heard of Chaparral High School?
I know Columbine, well, everyone from Colorado does.
Poor school :(

Never heard of it, I lived there when I was 3-6 years, lol. I miss Colorado though, much more mild weather than Illinois and I loved going to the mountains.

Yeah, Columbine happened the year we moved.....the year my older brother would have been a freshman there, hate to think about what would have happened if my dad hadn't got transfered back to IL. :nope:

I lived in Illinois for 13 years before I moved to Colorado.
In Belleville, right across from St Louis, MO.
I don't like Colorado, too much snow! BAH.
Possibly moving to Florida next year, hello sun and fun :)

Thanks ladies! I am glad everyone likes it and that it turned out well :D.

I love crafts/making things! Is it sad that I cant wait til Arianna is old enough to play with coloring books, partially because I LOVE coloring, lol....but also cause I think its important for kids to learn to be creative.

I want to move down south where I can be close enough to the Gulf so that I can go to the beach when I want....but not so close that a Hurricane would affect me badly, lol. & it seems like we get more snow here than we did in Colorado, I remember two x-mas mornings when we got bikes or roller blades and it was warm enough to go outside and play with them!

Colorado weather is so bi-polar.
Sometimes 70 degrees in December.
Then snow in June.

Ay yi yi...

LOL that is true. Illinois is just extreme, as you know. Hot and humid in the summer and freezing freezing cold in the winter, the mild seasons spring/fall, don't last long enough, lol.

I miss Illinois rain probably more than anything :(
I hate all the droughts here

Minus the severe storms and tornados....lol. We just have a crawl space and my dad always jokes that I wont be able to fit down the hole come August/September so I will just have to stand in the closet if a tornado comes...I am sure I could still fit, but he likes to make jokes about me, lol.

I'm EXACTLY the same. I go in the early learning centre and look at all the little kids crafts sets that I'm gonna buy her :haha: x
