Feeling guilty and worried coz I had a mcflurry!!

As in McDonald's mcflurry now I'm worried as I been reading about it on Internet some ppl say yea some say no??? I thought it was just ice cream vans we had to avoid as u can't be sure they are cleaned properly?? I'm worried

I wouldn't worry about it at all. I'm sure they have strict rules on cleaning their machinery. I get soft serve all the time!

I used to work at McDonalds and I know the woman I worked for was super super super picky about how the ice cream machine was cleaned. I usually did it too because I was a huge germ freak. I'd say if you have a clean and well organized MickyD's they probably clean their ice cream machine quite often as well. I wouldn't worry about it, especially if the ice cream doesn't taste rotten.

My OH used to work in Mcdonalds and my sister did until recently do not worry they scrupulously clean and flush through the machine with some type of disinfectant cleaning solution every day xx

Thank you all so much everyone I've eaten from this particular McDs restaurant for years never been ill or ever from a mcflurry at least just had a little freak out!!

I worked there as a teenager & the icecream/shake machine was fully disinfected & cleaned every night. I have also been having thickshakes from there regularly, I wouldn't worry too much During my pregnancy I have also occasionally eaten oysters (very fresh), lunch meat, salami, smoked salmon & all is ok.

I've had sundaes from McD's a few times and all has been fine in this pregnancy. I've also had cookie dough from Pizza Hut once or twice.xx

Yep, Macca's is the only place I'll buy soft serve from while pregnant as I know how well they clean their machine each night!

I am an assistant manager at mcdonalds. You are fine! The machine is detail cleaned and sanatised and if it isnt done the machine locks out. We also get random spot checks where someone from the company turns up and takes samples for testing! I would trust mcdonalds for cleanliness much more than i would trust a lot of other places! X
