DS2 is 6 months and was EBF until we started solids recently. He has always been a fussy, gassy baby, and there were times when I suspected that my breastmilk was probably to blame, but I didn't change my diet. I'm feeling really guilty about it now. I was dealing with PPD early on, so I think I lacked the motivation to focus on my diet, even if it would help my baby. Now he's older and doesn't seem as bothered by his belly. There isn't really a point to this post... I just feel really guilty that his belly hurt because of me...

You don't know that it was because of your milk. My DS was a super gassy baby and I did cut all sorts of things out of my diet for months and it didn't make any difference at all. Now at 9 months old his tummy has settled and I don't notice him being gassy much at all anymore. Try not to beat yourself up!

Welcome to motherhood and the endless amount of guilt! I'm really not trying to make light of your post, I just relate so much to that guilty feeling over... pretty much anything and everything. With my DS I could never figure out why my son had tummy troubles either and ended up weening him and I feel guilty about that now! We all just want to be perfect for our LOs in a way that is not possible. Just keep doing your best mama, you are perfect for him.

I think their digestive systems develop and mature and they can just grow out of things. It's so easy to take all these things upon yourself but it's not necessarily your fault. You're doing great!
