I keep waking up with my hips, lower back, and pelvis so sore its like someone is beating me with a stick in my sleep.

I use plenty of pillows, body pillows on each side, one pillow between my knees etc...
Anything I can do to make this not hurt so much? It takes hours after I wake up to get my body moving again without stiffness/soreness/pain.

:(

I guess I can look on the bright-side... I'm such a heavy sleeper that I'm not actually losing too much sleep over this (though I'm more tired than usual so I'm sure I'm not getting as much 'good' sleep as I'm used to).

I was the same until DH treated us to a memory foam mattress... It's been a total godsend for me, I don't even need my maternity pillow anymore!

Maybe just a foam topper would help!

docs here don't really do anything for spd...

Hi, yep had pretty much the same thing, woke up feeling like someone had been kicking me, mainly in the hips bum cheeks and thighs and as though I'd be covered in bruises!
The doctor said it was spd, but I'm not convinced, from reading stuff on the internet it seemed more like pelvic girdle pain. I think physiotherapy can help? Strangely enough the pain seems to have gone and I haven't had it at all for the past week! Hopefully it'll be the same for you too xx

Yes-I sympathize with you. Is your consistently every day or does it come in spells. For me it seems to be 2-3 bad days and then a day that is bearable. My Dr. said that it comes with the territory and I could take 2 regular strength tylenol as needed.

I hear ya - me too ! Last night was horrible ! And walking in the morning is not fun. My Dr. also doesn't seem to think that it is a big deal. It hurts though !!! And I also lose sleep over it, my hips throb so bad that it keeps me up :( We're almost there girls !

I've had similar sleep issues, I use lots of pillows and started a prenatal yoga program. The yoga has helped me alot and is supposed to help with delivery as well.

Totally describes it! I have several really bad days in a row, then one day thats ok.

Do you sleep with maternity pillows? I was very big with my second child and my left side would hurt. The pillows really helped reduce the pain. I found keeping my legs apart with a cushion in between helped. I had a pillow between my legs and a pillow behind my back.
