Hello my lovely ladies, this is completely off topic and just a way of getting things off my chest more than anything so feel free to skip!

I am a total emotional wreck tonight cos Jamie is starting school in the morning. To say he is excited is the understatement of the century and ive managed to act excited for him all day but now he's in bed im having trouble holding it together.

I just cant believe that my little boy is now a little man. He's only just turned 4 and seems so small to be going off to school. He's certainly ready for it but im just having a hard time letting him go. He's been by my side constantly for the last 4 years and is mummys little rock...he is my life!
Its just seems like yesterday i was coming home from the hospital after having him. All i can say to all you 1st time mums is cherish every single moment of when they are little as they grow up so fast.

If you've managed to get all the way to the end of my ramblings well done! I'll post a pic of my little man tomorrow morning all dressed up in his uniform

**UPDATE**: Well my little man is now at school, he was up at 6am singing 'we're off to big boy school' which continued all the way to school! As soon as we reached the school gates he said 'you dont need to hold my hand now mummy, im too cool for that' :haha:

Took him to his classroom, hung his coat up, turned round to say bye to him to find that he was too busy playing to say bye to me!

Im very proud of myself as i managed to hold back the tears until i got outside the school gates, where i proceeded to walk down the road sobbing like a tit on my own :haha:

Im now pottering about the house desperatly wanting 12pm to hurry up so i can see how his day went. Only 1 downside of the day...i cant find my camera anywhere, so hoping i find it today so i can get some pics of him looking all smart.

Aww, bless you! :hugs:

Looking forward to seeing the pic of Jamie, and hope his first day goes really well!

My little Ruby is 3.5 yrs old. I've already started crying recently at the thought of her starting school when she is 5. I think it's entirely too young she will still be a baby. She goes to daycare during the day but actual school is just too upsetting for me to think about.

I hope you get through the day ok. Your son will be fine. I think it's more upsetting for us and they just see it as fun.

awwww i hope he has a lovely day at skool tomorrow! at least you have another little joy on the way and you so u kinda have ur cake and ur eating it to cuz u got ur big boy but than u still have ur little baby also!

This is one of those stories you will tell him in 10 years time infront of his mates n he will be like mum shut up you're so embarrassing!! Just be proud that you've made such an independent little guy x

My little boy started yesterday, I barely slept the night before and have to be honest, I feel really depressed today, I have missed him loads... I just keep thinking how good it is for him, he has been going in no problem, Im so proud of him! x

How sweet are you? I cant imagine how that feels but I bet a lot of parents feel the same way, it must be heart wrenching. Sending you lots of hugs :hugs: xxx

So true! I already have a lovely list of things to embarass him with when he's older...its something every mum just has to do! x

:hugs: Didn't want to read and run but I totally know how you feel about your LO going off to school. It's such a huge change! You're so happy but at the same time so sad because your little baby is growing up. I hope he has a great time at school! He's lucky to have a proud mama that cares so much! Some parents can't wait to get their kids in school and away from the house :(
